I'm a marine zoologist and paleobiologist studying the processes that drive marine life's evolution over millions of years. Bridging living and fossil evidence, I aim to understand not just what changed, but why. My work combines specimen-based research, fieldwork, and molecular tools, with a particular focus on echinoderms such as sea urchins and sea cucumbers. I'm especially interested in marine (paleo)biogeography, morphological evolution in deep time, diversity dynamics, DNA barcoding, museomics, and benthic biodiversity surveys.

Beyond the lab and field, I'm driven to translate the complexity of evolution into accessible, awe-inspiring ideas that help people think critically about the natural world and become active stewards of it.
